Photographic Story I couldn’t resist taking this photograph. Our car was behind this Cuban school bus and the girls were waving, pointing and laughing at us. They were having so much fun and it was a joy to watch them! I took this photo in 2002 when Clyde was invited to photograph the mountains of Cuba by the United Nations for the Year of the Mountains. Mostly I took photographs of Clyde and the Cubans who traveled with us. Occasionally, I took a few of my own. The Art of Hand Painting Black and White Photographs Niki prints her images on fiber-base black and white mat surface paper in the darkroom, then using Q-tips and cotton balls, she applies a thin coat of oil paint over the surface allowing the image to gently be seen through the oil paint. A state-of-the-art Epson Stylus Pro printer creates deep, rich dark values that hold subtle detail in the shadows as well as bright vivid colors that are truly tropical.
